Specificity

This is the scene from Anchorman 2 in which Champ describes how he makes his money in the fast foo business.

I enjoy this specific scene because it's outrageously funny. It takes something gross and horrible and makes it something funny and lighthearted. The fact that Champ is serving bats at his restaurant instead of chicken is appalling. Ron adds to the humor of the scene by stating directly that it was the most horrible thing he has ever heard of. It's a terrific blend of gross and funny.

  1. I have yet to see this movie, which is a tragedy, so thank you for showing me a preview of Ron Burgundy's 2nd movie. I agree with your observation that Champ emphasizing how they use "bats, but only the good kind" creates a humor in the scene, and Ron's reaction only furthers that humor. You identified why the scene is funny, and provided examples from the scene to back your opinion up, so nice work. Also, the ending line "chicken of the cave" is priceless; I may or may not want that line on a t-shirt.
